This Week in Pena Blanca!

Hello friends and family alike! Here is an update on our week. (brace yourselves...it was crazy!)
On Tuesday we had our Zone Conference. There are some wonderful changes in the Cauayan mission. We reviewed and sustained our new goals, and I can tell you, we ARE a hastening mission! These new goals have us working hard, but we can already see the blessings from trying to reach them! This week Sister Villanueva and I taught more lessons than we have in any other week since we've been here!
There are also changes in our area. Our ward in Pena Blanca is splitting because it is one of the largest in the area! Exciting, di ba? Because of the change, our mission president, President Rahlf, is taking two missionaries out of Pena Blanca. Sister Maunana is going back home to Kirabati at the end of the cycle, so it won't affect her, but that means that at least one other sister here is going to transfer. President Rahlf said that we all might even transfer. I guess we'll know in a few weeks who is staying and who is going. It will be a challenge either way because the area will be doubled in size for those of us who stay, and those who leave will have to work in a new area! It will definitely take some stretching, but will allow mountainous personal growth.
Later this week, Sister Paniergo got sick. She was throwing up and couldn't keep anything down for two days. It kept getting worse and worse until Saturday night when she was admitted to the hospital. It was really scary because we were all scrambling to get her to the hospital. Sister Paniergo had a bad combination of food poisoning from street food and gastritis that made her super sick. I am happy to report that she will be released from the hospital either later today or tomorrow. She is slowly recovering, and when we visited her in the hospital today, we saw that she still has her sense of humor! We are looking forward to having her back!
Thank you for your support and prayers!
Love,
Sister Lewis
